The quickest way to reach us in Vent
Whether by car, train, bus, or plane, here’s how to reach us at the back of the Ötztal valley, at 1,900m above sea level in no time at all.
From Munich, take the A12 Inntal motorway via Kufstein towards Innsbruck, take the Ötztal exit, and follow the valley all the way up to Vent.
Coming from Garmisch, you reach us via Scharnitz, Telfs, and the Ötztal valley.
From the Allgäu region, you can reach the Ötztal valley via Kempten, Füssen, Reutte, the Fern Pass, and Imst, then continue on to Vent.
Austrian motorways require a vignette, which you can buy online in a couple of minutes.
The train will take you to Innsbruck Central Station or to Ötztal station. From there, you can continue your journey in comfort by bus: there are 4 services a day from Innsbruck and 8 a day from Ötztal train station, going directly up to Vent.
Fly to our nearest airport, Innsbruck, from where a bus will take you comfortably the rest of the way to Vent. Alternatively, you can fly to Munich, Salzburg, or Zurich, then take the train on to Innsbruck or Ötztal station and change to the bus from there.
Key information for a carefree holiday
Check-in is from 2 p.m. and check-out is by 10 a.m. We're happy to arrange times that suit you, and you can check in from your phone. That way, your stay in Vent gets off to a relaxed start.
You’ll find free parking right next to the hotel, meaning it’s just a short walk to the car and back.
Your dog is welcome to travel with you on request, for a charge of €12.00 per night, excluding food. Just tell us you're bringing your dog when you book, and we’ll make all the necessary arrangements.
You can choose between bed and breakfast or half board. Breakfast is served between 7.30 a.m. and 9.30 a.m., and dinner is available in our restaurant until 8.30 p.m.
Our kitchen is happy to cater for allergies and food intolerances. Let us know your requirements in advance, and we’ll whip up dishes that taste good – and do you good, too.
We’ll be happy to prepare a packed lunch for your tours. Let us know the night before, and it’ll be ready for you first thing in the morning.

- Children aged 7 to 12 receive a 50% discount on the price per person per night.
- Children aged 13 to 17 receive a 30% discount on the price per person per night.
The local tourist tax is €5.00 per person (aged 15 and over) per night. It goes directly to the region and helps keep our mountaineering village in good shape for you.
You can pay in cash, by card, or by bank transfer. All accommodation prices include 10% VAT.
You can enjoy your cigarette on the balcony or in the outdoor area, surrounded by fresh mountain air. Indoor areas remain smoke-free.

The Ötztal Guest Card and the visitor card programme let you enjoy a whole host of benefits throughout the region. Depending on the season, you can travel on local public transport for free or at a reduced rate and take part in the nature park’s hiking programme free of charge.
Depending on the board option booked, the price includes breakfast or half board, the tourist board’s visitor card programme, and the nature park’s free hiking programme. You’ll also find a secure storage room for your equipment, free parking next to the hotel, and free Wi-Fi.
You can take part in guided tours and activities as part of the visitor card programme, as well as the nature park’s free hiking programme. These let you discover the most beautiful trails around Vent, accompanied by people who know every rock and ridge here.
You can rent everything you need for your hikes and mountain adventures at the sports shop, just 150m from Gasthof Weisskugel. To ensure your equipment is kept safe, a storage room with boot heaters is available at our guesthouse.
All guests are warmly invited to dine at our restaurant, whether they are staying overnight, local residents of Vent, or visiting our beautiful mountaineering village for the day.
The cancellation policy defined in the General Terms and Conditions for the Austrian Hotel Industry (AGBH) applies to your booking.
